Traffic Unit

           The Hot Spots program was developed by the traffic bureau, to provide additional enforcement in those areas of town where frequent motor vehicle violations occur.

            Police officers are assigned to motor vehicle enforcement duties in those areas and are expected to vigorously enforce, violations involving speeding, stop signs, pedestrian crosswalks, traffic in intersections and right on red light violations, to name but a few.  Residents may call or e-mail the traffic bureau to request additional enforcement in their neighborhoods.

Hot Spots rotate on a monthly or bi-weekly basis, depending on demand.
