We truly appreciate the incredible support and assistance we've received from you all and hope that you will join us to celebrate our opening.
 
To save on parking, please consider meeting at the Brew Pub and doggie pooling over to the Park.  Please let us know, we will gladly make arrangements.

WHAT:  Grand Opening and Registration Day at the Long Valley Dog Park . 

WHEN:  Saturday, September 29, 2007.  The Park will open at 9:00 am, with volunteers on hand and special treats available from 9:00 am - 1:00pm. 

WHERE:  Long Valley Dog Park , Fairmount Road , Washington Township , NJ

 

On Saturday, September 29, 2007 at 10:00am, Peter Wayne Resotka of the Long Valley Dog Park Committee will host a short ceremony as we celebrate the grand opening of this long planned community dog park.  All dog lovers, and their dogs, are invited to join members of the dog park committee, members of the Washington Township Committee, and other members of the community who donated their time, energy, money and materials in helping to complete the park.  Alison Deeb, Co-Founder & President of Mardog (Morris Area Responsible Dog Owners Group) will be on hand to welcome our park into the growing network of Morris County dog parks.  Ms. Deeb will highlight the importance of off-leash recreation for dogs and discuss proper dog park etiquette.

 

The Long Valley Dog Park is a subscription only dog park and is open to Washington Township residents as well as to non-residents.  The $10/year fee for WT residents and a  $15/year fee for non-residents will help ensure the proper operation of the park.  Registration forms will be available at the park on opening day and thereafter, at the Washington Township Municipal Building.  See information online at www.wtmorris.org.  Originally conceived more than 2 years ago, the Long Valley Dog Park has been designed and built as a premier dog park.

 

The Long Valley Dog Park is a wonderful new amenity for the Washington Township community.  Throughout the year, events at the park will include: dog training and agility programs, dog health awareness and screenings; safe-home education for dog owners and pet adoption days.  The park will be open daily from 8:00am until dusk.

 

FOR OPENING DAY ONLY:

There will be doggie gift bags filled with premium biscuits, dog food samples and dog-related information.  There will be giveaways and raffles for dogs and their owners, including KONG toys and free subscriptions to a variety of dog magazines.

 

All well behaved dogs are invited to romp and play and celebrate.  After opening day, all dogs must be registered to use the park.  As a subscription only dog park, registration helps assure the health and safety of the dogs, and people, who use the park.  Please note that everyone is invited to check out the dog park ahead of time, but NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED at the park until opening day!
