February 1, 2008 Sergeant Bratus observed a vehicle parked in Island Park on Bank Street, Califon Boro, NJ; sign at the entrance indicates the park was closed at dark and arrested a 17-year-old male resident of Califon, NJ and was charged on juvenile complaints with Possession of Marijuana (under 50), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of an Alcoholic Beverage by a Minor. He was also issued motor vehicle summons for Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle and Possession of an Unsealed Alcoholic Beverage. He was released to his parents pending adjudication . February 2, 2008 Patrol Officer Wright investigated a report of an electric fire on Ridgeline Drive Long Valley, NJ. The victim smelt what he believed was plastic burning in his kitchen area. Long Valley Fire Department responded and checked the residence and was unable to locate the problem. February 3, 2008 Patrol Officer Myers investigated a hunting complaint on Drakestown Road Long Valley, NJ. The victim reported an unknown hunter fired pellets into a tree in the woods next to an employee who was training a horse on the victim's horse farm. The trainer was in a fenced area where riders train horses. The hunters where located and they ensured no further incidents would occur. The Washington Township Police investigated a report of (10) motor vehicle accidents over the weekend. February 4, 2008 Patrol Officer Garrison arrested a 49-year-old male resident of Blairstown, NJ for DWI on Schooley’s Mountain Road Long Valley, He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. February 6, 2008 Patrol Officer Myers investigated a report of Burglary on Parker Road Long Valley, NJ. The victim reported approximately 700 pounds of miscellaneous copper wire valued at approximately $3.00 a pound was missing. Detective Corporal Allen arrested a 20-year-old male resident of Long Valley, NJ and a 20-year-old male resident of Washington, NJ for Burglary and Theft by unlawful taking. Subject released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. February 7, 2008 Patrol Officer Seabeck arrested a 48-year-old male resident of North Arlington, NJ. on an active warrant out of Tinton Falls Municipal Court. Subject posted bail and was released. Patrol Officer Hade investigated a report of Aggravated Assault on two male subjects on Turtleback Road Long Valley, NJ. Both subjects where treated at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center for stab wounds and released . The investigation led to the arrested of two 23-year-old males, charged with drug possession with intent to distribute, maintaining or operating a controlled dangerous substance facility and several other conspiracy and possession counts. Also, a 26-year-old male was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an imitation firearm, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, drug possession with intent to distribute, maintaining or operating a drug facility, and several possession and conspiracy counts. All three are residents all of Long Valley, NJ and all are lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility. Patrol Officer Seabeck arrested a 44-year-old male resident of Fredrick, MD. on an active warrant out of Bloomfield Township, NJ Municipal Court. Subject posted bail and was released. February 8, 2008 Sergeant Madden investigated a report of Theft of a 12' by 4' yellow vinyl sign promoting a club event was cut down from the railing at the Splash restaurant, located at 1 West Mill Road, and stolen. It was noticed missing on 02/05/2008. The sign was a 12' by 4' yellow vinyl sign with black lettering reading " Long Valley Woman's Club Antiques In Long Valley. L.V. Middle School Sat. Patrol Officer Lee arrested a 39-year-old female resident of Long Valley, NJ for DWI, in a motor vehicle accident on Fairview Avenue Long Valley. The defendant was additionally charged with Reckless Driving, Failure to Keep Right and Leaving Scene of Accident. She was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. February 9, 2008 Corporal McCarthy arrested a 46-year-old male resident of Mansfield Township, NJ. for DWI, on US Rt. 46 the defendant was additionally charged with Refusal to Submit, Careless Driving and Unlicensed Driver. He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. February 10, 2008 Patrol Officer Brobst investigated a report of mailbox vandalism on Walden Road, Long Valley, NJ three residences shared a common mailbox post. February 12, 2008 Patrol Officer Myers arrested a 19 -old male resident of Long Valley, NJ with open container of alcohol in motor vehicle and u nderage consumption of alcohol . He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. February 14, 2008 Corporal Burns arrested a 36-year-old male resident of Newark, NJ. on an active warrant out of Washington Township (Morris County), NJ Subject lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility. February 15, 2008 Patrol Officer Garrison arrested a 36-year-old female resident of Long Valley, NJ. on an active warrant out of Mount Olive Township, NJ Municipal Court and Chester Boro Municipal Court Subject posted bail and was released. February 17, 2008 Sergeant Bratus arrested a 44-year-old male resident of Landing, NJ. on an active warrant out of Morris County Superior Court Morristown, NJ Subject posted bail and was released. February 18, 2008 Patrol Officer Lee investigated a report of mailbox vandalism on Califon Road, Califon, NJ. The victim advised some time during the evening (between 10 PM on 02-17-08 and 6 AM on 02-18-08) individual(s) knocked over a sign on his property mounted on 4X4 post, which held it in the ground, was snapped at ground level. February 21, 2008 Patrol Officer Rooney arrested a 21-year-old male resident of N. Brunswick NJ. on an active warrant out of North Hunterdon Court, NJ Municipal Court. Subject posted bail and was also issued summons for speeding and driving while suspended. Subject was released. February 21, 2008 Patrol Officer Wright arrested a 55-year-old male resident of Long Valley, NJ for DWI, who was involved in a motor vehicle accident on Schooley's Mountain Road, Long Valley. The defendant was additionally charged with Reckless Driving, Failure to report accident and Leaving scene of accident. He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. The Washington Township Police investigated a report of (18) motor vehicle accidents over the weekend. February 22, 2008 Corporal Oranchak Investigated a report of Theft and Vandalism the victim advised a chrome bulldog hood ornament was taken off the hood of his red 2000 Mac truck parked at Bard’s Excavating and Paving Rt. 46 Hackettstown, NJ. The victim also noticed that the driver’s side fuel cap was off and approximately twenty gallons of diesel fuel was missing. The victim advised this happened sometime beaten 02/18/08 and 02/21/08 estimated the theft of the diesel fuel to be $700.00, the theft of the chrome bulldog hood ornament at $100.00 and the damage to hood of the 2000 Mac truck to be $500.00. February 23, 2008 Patrol Officer Hade arrested a 56-year-old male resident of Montville, NJ on an active warrant out of Hoboken, NJ Municipal Court. Subject posted bail and was released. February 25, 2008 Patrol Officer Rooney arrested a 23-year-old male resident of Long Valley, NJ on an active warrant out of Mansfield Township, NJ Municipal Court. Subject posted bail and was released. Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 23-year-old male resident Wharton, NJ. and a 19-year-old male resident of Kelly, NC after investigating a motor vehicle accident, on Rt. 46 and East Avenue. The 23-year-old male was issued complaint warrant charging him with Conspiracy, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams. The 19-year-old male was issued complaint warrant charging him with Conspiracy, Possession of Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine, Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams and Assault by Auto. Both could not post bail and were transported to the Morris County Jail and were given a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. Patrol Officer Garrison arrested a 45-year-old female resident of Long Valley, NJ. on an active warrant out of Mount Olive Township, NJ Municipal Court. Subject posted bail and was released. February 27, 2008 Patrol Officer Garrison arrested a 20-year-old male resident of Long Valley, NJ for DWI, The subject was under the influence of a controlled substance and additionally charged with Reckless Driving, Failure to Keep Right and Use of a Controlled Substance. . He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. Patrol Officer Cecere arrested a 21-year-old male resident of N. Brunswick NJ. on an active warrant out of Mansfield Township, NJ Municipal Court. Subject posted bail and was also issued summons for improper safety glass and for driving without a license . Subject was released.
