January 1, 2008 Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 21-year-old male resident of Long Valley, NJ After being stopped for expired registration. Found to have Possession of CDS less than 50 grams of marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and was also issued motor vehicle summons Unregistered Vehicle. He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. January 3, 2008 Sergeant Madden investigated a vehicle parked on the cul de sac on Settlers Ridge Court. And arrested an 18 and 19 year-old male resident of Hackettstown, NJ and a 18 year-old female resident of Oxford, NJ. Subjects found to be in Possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. The driver was issued motor vehicle summonses failure to exhibit driver's license and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. All subjects were advised of their mandatory court dates, and released. January 4, 2008 Patrol Officer Wright arrested a 46-year-old male resident of Califon, NJ. On a warrant issued by Mansfield Twp, NJ. Bail was posted in the amount of $200.00. Subject was released. Patrol Officer Garrison arrested a 24-year-old male resident of Watkins Glen, NY. Oon a warrant issued by Lacey Twp, NJ. Bail was posted in the amount of $250.00. Subject was released. January 5, 2008 Patrol Officer Seabeck arrested a 43-year-old male resident of Phillipsburg, NJ. Oon a warrant issued by the Wanaque Boro, NJ. For an amount of $425.00. He was also issued motor vehicle summons for Driving While Suspended, Throwing or Dropping Debris from a Vehicle and Loaded as to Spill was also issued complaint summons for hindering his own apprehension. Subject was released to the Warren County Sheriff's Office. With a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 23-year-old male resident of Mansfield Twp, NJ. On a warrant issued by the Hopatcong Municipal Court.The subject was turned over to the Hopatcong Police Department. Patrol Officer Wright investigated a report of carbon monoxide and medical assistance. A Mother & daughter had felt weak and light headed causing them to lose consciousness. The Long Valley First Aid Squad responded to treat both individuals and transported them to Morristown Hospital. Their investigation confirmed that carbon monoxide was in the residence. The Washington Twp Fire Company received a reading of 62 on the main floor, 101 in the basement, and 160 in the furnace shut. January 7, 2008 Corporal Marut investigated a report of a house fire on Wolfe Run Court Long Valley, NJ. The family advised they were woken by a tremendous explosion. Which they found to have originated from the first floor bathroom the residence's the fire alarm had activated. The Washington Twp Fire Company found a badly burnt aerosol can of air freshener was the cause of the explosion. The aerosol can was apparently in the vicinity above a candle. The heat was intense enough to ignite the aerosol can, which caused the explosion. January 8, 2008 Sergeant Madden arrested a 23-year-old male resident of Mansfield Twp, NJ. On possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a Syringe-Needle and Unlawful possession of a weapon. He was lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility. January 9, 2008 Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 37-year-old male resident of Queens, NY. Subject was also issued motor vehicle summons for Speeding and Suspended NY Drivers License. And was also found to have an active Warrant issued out of Mansfield Township (Burlington County),NJ. Bail was posted in the required amount. Subject was released. January 10, 2008 Patrol Officer Garrison arrested a 38-year-old male resident of Morristown, NJ. Subject found to have a bench warrant out of Morris County Sheriffs Office and a warrant out of Union City. Subject transported to Headquarters and turned over to Morris County Sheriff Office. January 11, 2008 Patrol Officer Brobst arrested a 29-year-old male resident of Phillipsburg, NJ. On several Warrants issued by White Township Municipal Court for $455.00,Theft out of Washington Borough Municipal Court (Warren County) for $195.00 and Contempt of Court out of North Hunterdon Court for $215 .00. He was also found to have a Suspended New Jersey Driver's License. Bail was posted. Subject was transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ for Medical Care needs. Patrol Officer Garrison arrested an 18-year-old male resident of Long Valley, NJ. For possession of C.D.S. and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. January 12, 2008 Sergeant Madden investigated a report of a smoke condition inside of the residence on Setting Sun Drive Long Valley, NJ. A realtor who was at the location-smelt smoke coming from the area of the basement. Sgt. Madden observed the furnace to be smoking, with a fire clearly visible through the grates in the side of the unit. Long Valley, Fairmount and Schooley’s Mountain Fire responded and extinguished the fire. Patrol Officer Lee investigated a report of suspicious vehicle parked on Knob Hill Road Long Valley, NJ. Charged two juveniles from Long Valley, NJ with possession of marijuana and possession of CDS the juveniles was released to their parents pending adjudication. The investigation is continuing. Patrol Officer Brobst investigated a report of harassment of an E. Mill Road resident. The investigation is continuing. Patrol Officer Hade arrested an 18 and 19-year-old male residents of Long Valley, NJ for possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia the driver was also issued motor vehicle summons for maintenance of lamps and for CDS in a motor vehicle. Both subjects were released. With a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. January 17, 2008 Patrol Officer Cecere investigated a report of a person with burns to his face and hands, behind a home on Schooley’s Mountain Road. The victim was moving 100 gallon propane tanks that he believed were empty with a excavator, when he punctured one of the tanks and heard the sound of gas pouring out of the tank. He then exited the excavator to get away from the gas when the gas ignited and started on fire. Long Valley First Aid Squad transported the patient to Hackettstown Regional Medical Center then air lifted to St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. January 14, 2008 Patrol Officer Myers investigated a report of a confused lost person walking in the snow. This person suffers from Parkinson’s disease and was returned home. There were no visible signs of injury or prolonged exposure to cold. January 15, 2008 Patrol Officer Myers arrested a 52-year-old male resident of Orange, NJ. On a warrant issued by Irvington , NJ. Bail was posted in the amount of $289.00. He was also issued motor vehicle summon for driving on a suspended license. Subject was released. January 16, 2008 Patrol Officer Wurtemberg investigated a report of attempted burglary of a Business on East Mill Road. The rear door and door jam was damaged with some type of pry tool. January 18, 2008 Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 19-year-old male resident of Long Valley, NJ for possessing an Illegal knife , Possession of an Illegal Weapon and Possession of Marijuana under 50 Grams. He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. January 19, 2008 Patrol Officer Wright arrested a 23-year-old male resident of Elizabeth, NJ. For DWI on Bartley Road Long Valley, the defendant was additionally charged with Failure to Keep Right and Reckless Driving. He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. January 20, 2008 Patrol Officer Rooney investigated a report of Vandalism of a Business on Schooley's Mountain Road Building Long Valley, NJ. The reporting party advised an unknown person had thrown eggs at the windows of his store, anyone who can provide information related to this incident should contact tips@wtpdmorris.org. All information will be held confidential. Patrol Officer Seabeck investigated a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle on Schindler Square Hackettstown, NJ. Owner advised that sometime between 2PM hours and 6PM on 1/20/2008, someone sprayed a black line down the passenger side of the vehicle with spray paint. January 23, 2008 Patrol Officer Garrison arrested an 18-year-old male resident of Belvidere, NJ . for possession of C.D.S. with intent to distribute, possession of four credit cards not in he’s Name and possessing a police portable radio. In addition, He was issued complaint summons for possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of paraphernalia rolling papers and possession of paraphernalia police radio scanner. He was issued motor vehicle summons for Improper Display, Possession of C.D.S. in a motor vehicle and Failure to Inspect and Failure to Exhibit Documents. He was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. During the processing procedure he was having difficulty breathing . The Long Valley First Aid Squad transported the subject to Hackettstown Hospital. January 24, 2008 Patrol Officer Rooney arrested a 32-year-old male resident of Chester, NJ . on a warrant issued by the Bedminster Municipal Court Bail was posted in the amount of $89.00. He was also issued motor vehicle summon for Unregistered Vehicle. Subject was released. Patrol Seabeck investigated a report of harassment of annoying phone calls. to a residence on West Valley Brook Road. Long Valley, NJ Sergeant Barnes investigated a report of a theft of the residence on North Four Bridges Road Long Valley, NJ. victim responded she ordered a Kodak Printer from Kodak. DHL advised they delivered the package to the residence on 12/12/07. They advised they left the package at the residence without a signature, because the value was under $200.00. Sergeant Bratus arrested a 15-year-old female resident of Long Valley, NJ. was charged with Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle. Juvenile court pending. Patrol Officer Myers arrested a 36-year-old male resident of Hackettstown, NJ . for Possession of Marijuana under 50 grams and was released. With a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. Patrol Officer Cecere investigated a report of a chimney fire of a residence on Allyson Ct. Long Valley, NJ Washington Township Fire; the fire had already put itself out upon arrival. Washington Township Fire determined the residence to be safe and no apparent damage. Patrol Officer Wurtemberg investigated a report of a motor vehicle accident, with injuries and vehicle fire. Two teens a 16 year-old male and 17 year-old female were injured, when they lost control of the four-wheel, all-terrain vehicle. The accident occurred on the Columbia trail in the area of West Mill Road. Long Valley, NJ. The female victim was taken by helicopter to Morristown Memorial Hospital; the male was taken by ground ambulance to Morristown Memorial. The accident scene was secured and the Morris County Park Police were advised that the incident occurred on the Columbia trail. The scene was turned over to the Park Police. January 25, 2008 Patrol Officer Brobst arrested a 37-year-old female resident of Califon, NJ . on a warrant issued by the State of New Jersey/ISP, State Superior Court Trenton, NJ. She was transported to the Hunterdon County Correctional Facility where she was lodged. Patrol Officer Wright arrested a 23-year-old male resident of Long Valley, NJ . on a warrants issued by out of Branchburg Township, NJ totaling $150.00, and out of North Hunterdon, NJ court totaling $115.00. He also had and active ACS warrant totaling $500.00) out of Hackettstown, NJ court. He was turned over to the Hackettstown Police Department. January 27, 2008 Corporal Burns investigated a report of a chimney fire of a residence on Kim Lane. Long Valley, NJ the homeowner attempted to extinguish the fire in the stove utilizing a dry chemical fire extinguisher and water. Upon arrival of the Fire Department Officer there was still a flame in the stove so he shut the door to the stove and had the residents clear from the home. Washington Township Fire Department determined the fire was out and advised there was minor smoke damage to the residence Patrol Officer Cecere investigated a report of a chimney fire of a residence on Winay Ter. Long Valley, NJ. There were small flames coming out of the chimney. Washington Township Fire responded and was able to put the fire out. There were no signs of any damage to the residence. The Washington Township Police investigated a report of (9) motor vehicle accident with Deer over the weekend. Patrol Officer Lee arrested a 19 and 20year-old male and a 19 year-old female all resident of Toms River, NJ . on possession and consumption alcoholic, open container of alcohol in motor vehicle and Motor Vehicle Summon for maintenance of lamps. The other two subjects was issued motor vehicle summons for possession and consumption alcoholic, open container of alcohol in motor vehicle. All subjects released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. January 29, 2008 Patrol Officer Rooney arrested a 19-year-old female resident of North Plainfield, NJ. for DWI on Camp Washington Road Long Valley, NJ. The defendant was additionally charged Failure to Exhibit Documents (Drivers License), Reckless Driving and Failure to Keep Right. She was released with a mandatory court date in Washington Township Municipal Court. Sergeant Bratus investigated a report of a chimney fire of a residence on Sand Hill Road. Long Valley, NJ. the Washington Township Fire Department extinguished the fire. There was no damage to the residence other then the top of the chimney and no one was injured during the incident. Patrol Officer Myers arrested a 31-year-old male resident of Califon, NJ . for theft of jewelry from a residence. January 30, 2008 Patrol Officer Hade arrested a 30-year-old male resident of Penn Argyl, NJ. on an active warrant out of Mount Olive Township Municipal Court in the amount of $185.00. Subject was also issued motor vehicle summons for riding on part of vehicle not intended for passengers. Subject posted bail and was released. January 31 2008 Sergeant Almer arrested a 21-year-old male resident of Whitehouse Station, NJ. on credit cardfraud. The victim, a West Mill Road resident stated that an employee made a charge on his landscaping company gas credit card. The victim was able to identify the employee and his vehicle a Pickup truck from the surveillance video from the gas Station. |
