Personal Safety Program
The Washington Township Community Policing Unit sponsored a Personal Safety Program that covers such topics as Personal Safely at Automatic Teller Machines (ATM’s), Vehicle Safety, Personal Safety while Traveling and Shopping, and Tips on Home Safety and Security.
West Morris Central High School Senior Program
West Morris Central High School, in conjunction with the Washington Township Community Policing Unit, is running the program through the law Class at West Morris Central. Police Officers will instruct select portions of the class.
 
Washington Township 5th Grade DARE Program
The Washington Township 5th Grade DARE Program is well underway and ends in May with a Barbeque sponsored by the community policing unit.
 
Red E Fox 911 Program
The Red E Fox 911 Program is coming to all schools. Instructors include Communications Officers, police officers assigned to the Community policing unit, and teachers.
 
Bike Patrol
The Washington Township Bike Unit will resume activities with the arrival, hopefully, of good weather in May.

Look for the bike unit in your neighborhood. One of the purposes of the program is to make the officers more approachable, so please say hello. If you have a question about anything related to the Township, please ask the officer on the bike.
 
Special Olympics Torch Run
June 2007 is the month the Special Olympics Torch Run occurs. Police Officers from the Washington Township Police Department and local NJ Special Olympic participants will participate in the 24th annual NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run.
