Art Adams

Lieutenant Adams joined the Police Department in July of 1989 as a Police Communications Officer.

In August of 1991, he was hired as a Patrol Officer and served in the Patrol Division until January of 1995 when he became a DARE Officer. In 1997, Sergeant Adams returned to the Patrol Division and was promoted to Sergeant in March of 1999. He is currently assigned as the head of the Community Policing Unit.

During his career, Sergeant Adams has received numerous departmental awards including Educational Achievement Award, the Life Saving Award, Honorable Service Award, the Meritorious Service Award, and numerous Letters of Commendation.

Sergeant Adams holds a Masters Degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Sergeant Adams spends his spare time with his wife and two boys.
