Almer
Detective Sergeant
Det/Sgt
Almer was hired in 1995, and graduated with the 46th Basic Police
Class at the Morris County Firefighters and Police Academy. He was
promoted to Sergeant in 2002.
Sergeant Almer earned a Bachelors degree from Rutgers University
and is currently pursuing a Masters degree at Fairleigh Dickinson
University.
Jeff's responsibilities have included Road Patrol, assignment as
a Narcotics Detective for both the Washington Township Police Department
, and the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Special Enforcement
Unit. He is a Field Training Officer, Firearms Instructor, Defensive
Tactics Instructor, and Physical Fitness Instructor. Sergeant Almer's
current assignments are as a Patrol Supervisor and as the Departmental
Domestic Violence Liaison Officer.
Other activities include instructing various programs for the Police
Department, the Morris County Firefighters and Police Academy, and
Division of Criminal Justice.
He is currently assigned to the Detecive Bureau.
