Washington Township Police Department
Washington Township Police Department, in conjunction with P.B.A. Local 301, and the United Stated Marine Corps, is pleased to announce that once again police Headquarters is a collection site for the Toys for Tots program.
The holiday season is a time of joy, happiness and goodwill. It is a time of giving and helping others that are less fortunate than ourselves, especially children. Since 1948, the United Stated Marine Corps has been the unchallenged leader in looking after America's needy children at the holiday season. For over 50 years, in good times as well as bad, the Toys for Tots program has delivered holiday toys to needy children throughout the country.
While the United States Marines organize, coordinate and manage the program on a large scale, the Washington Township Police Department and the members of P.B.A. Local 301 organize the local campaign. The ultimate success of our local campaign depends upon the support of the local community and others and the generosity of the people who donate toys.
Caring individuals drop off new, unwrapped toys and donations at the lobby of the lobby of police Headquarters. Donations may also be mailed to the police department at the above address in envelopes clearly marked "Toys for Tots". The police department then delivers all the toys and donations to the Marine Corps Reservists at a central warehouse where the toys are sorted and distributed.
