Investigation Determined Report was Unfounded

Child Lurking on Salisbury Lane Reported

November 17, 2006
On the evening of November 14, 2006 at about 3:20PM a report of a possible child-lurking on Salisbury Lane was made to the Washington Township Police Communications Center.

It was reported that an eight year old female was approached by two women operating a minivan. Washington Township Patrol Officers and the detective Bureau made a complete search of the area, but were unsuccessful in their attempts to locate the suspected vehicle.

Continuing investigation by Patrol Officer Hade determined there was no attempt to lure a child, but rather a case of mistaken identity. Officer Hade's investigation determined that all of the involved parties knew each other.
