Head on Crash on Coleman's Road Injures Two

Fire Department uses the "Jaws of Life" to extract victims.

A 74 year old male resident of Califon, NJ was injured in an early afternoon crash on Colemans Road when his 1996 Saturn crossed over the double yellow line and struck a 2001 Passat operated by a 63 year old male resident of Long Valley.

Both men were trapped inside their vehicles. The Chester Fire Department responded and used the "Jaws of Life" to free the men from the wrecks. Both men suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Hackettstown Community Hospital by the Long Valley First Aid Squad.

Patrol Officer Marut and Sergeant Trevena investigated the accident and the Califon driver was issued a summons for failure to keep right.
