Huyler Dear Chief Huyler: I would like to extend an invitation for the various police departments to participate in our 2005 Holiday Troop Drive . We are collecting items to be shipped to Morris County troops currently serving in Iraq and Afghanistan . We are also accepting packages for individuals from relatives of these service people. The “family” packages must be dropped off unopened at the Morristown National Guard Armory, 430 Western Ave. , Morristown on Mondays between 9-12 or Fridays between 1-4 commencing October 17, 2005 . Once the packages are inspected, in the presence of the family member, they will be sealed for shipment. We are also seeking volunteers to help with the packing which will take place at the Armory on November 5 and November 12 from 9-5. If any of your employees wish to volunteer, please submit their names and telephone numbers and when they would like to help (date and time). We will be having a send off ceremony at the Armory on November 19 commencing at 1100 hours featuring the USO. You and your employees are cordially invited to attend. I am enclosing a copy of “A Soldier’s Wish List” for the use of the Police Chiefs. You may designate areas within the county as drop off points, but please let us know. Our troops would also like to receive letters from home supporting their efforts. The contact at my office is my Chief of Staff, Barbara Kinback (973 627-9700). Please feel free to call her with any of your questions. Sincerely, Anthony R. Bucco
