Snow/Ice Storm Causes Hazardous Conditions.
School Delayed

Iced branch at the rear of the Communications Center - typical of conditions on Schooley's Mountain over the weekend.A persistent snow storm, that later turned into a sleet and rain storm in freezing temperature, made for slow going over the weekend of December 14-15.  Washington Township Communications center received a limited number of phone calls, considering the conditions,  reporting icing road conditions, power outages and fallen tree limbs.

The Washington Township Road Department was out for the duration of the storm, and was assisted by the Morris County Road Department and the State DOT.  No storm injuries were reported. An icy view of Rock Spring Park.

Hazardous road conditions delayed the opening of school for over an hour on the morning of December 15.
