Snow/Ice Storm Causes
Hazardous Conditions.
School Delayed
A
persistent snow storm, that later turned into a sleet and rain
storm in freezing temperature, made for slow going over the
weekend of December 14-15. Washington Township
Communications center received a limited number of phone calls,
considering the conditions, reporting icing road
conditions, power outages and fallen tree limbs.
The
Washington Township Road Department was out for the duration of
the storm, and was assisted by the Morris County Road Department
and the State DOT. No storm injuries were reported.
Hazardous road conditions delayed the opening of school for over
an hour on the morning of December 15.
