Accident Injures Three

Passenger Airlifted to Morristown Memorial by NJ State Police

An early morning motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Naughright and Flocktown Roads injured three Long Valley residents. Three vehicles were involved in the 7:53AM crash. Two West Morris Central Students, the only occupants of a black jeep, were injured. The jeep passenger was med-evacued to Morristown Memorial Hospital by NJ State Police Northstar helicopter while the jeep driver was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital by the Long Valley First Aid Squad.

The driver of a Ford SUV apparently suffered only minor injuries when his vehicle overturned as a result of the collision. He was transported to Hackettstown Community Hospital. The driver of the third vehicle, a VW Beetle, was treated at the scene.

The accident is under investigation by the Traffic Bureau. Two Mobile Intensive Care Units, the Schooley's Mountain Fire Protection Association, the Long Valley First Aid Squad, the Long Valley Fire Department , the Flanders First Aid Squad and the NJSP Northstar helicopter assisted with the scene and treatment of the victims.
