Sergeant Mark
Niemynski was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant at the
Washington Township Annual re-organizational meeting on
January 1, 2005. Lt. Niemynski will assume control of
the Support Services division of the Police Department.
Support Services oversees Community Policing, the
Traffic Bureau, the Detective Bureau, the Police PRIDE
Unit and the Records Department.
Lt. Niemynski
joined the police department in February 1993. Lt
Niemynski received his basic training at the Morris
County Fire Fighters and Police Academy. After being
promoted to Sergeant in 1998, Lt. Niemynski was assigned
to the DARE Unit where for the last four years he was
the coordinator for the National Night Out celebration
at Rock Spring Park. In addition to his duties
associated with DARE, Lt Niemynski headed the bike
patrol unit and could frequently be seen during better
weather on bike patrol.

Lt. Niemynski
lives in Warren County with his wife and two children,
and is currently studying for his Masters Degree in
Leadership and Public Administration at Centenary
College in Hackettstown.
