VANDALISM
A Ranney Road resident reported that their property was vandalized.
Patrol Officer Oranchak observed the victims mailbox was spray painted
with a dark colored paint. Further investigation determined two mailboxes
on Squire Hill Road were sprayed with
similar paint.
The investigation is continuing.

DRUG ARREST
While on foot patrol in the Hastings Square development, Sgt Almer
observed a suspicious vehicle, a 2003 Chevrolet Denali, parked by the
pool area. Sgt. Almer investigated the vehicle and clearly saw
marijuana in open view.
The driver of the vehicle, a 24 year old
resident of Doylestown, PA, was arrested, and subsequent to arrest, approximately 60 grams of
marijuana, with a street value of about $3,500 was seized. In
addition to the marijuana, drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs and
$9,000 in cash were also seized.
The vehicle was impounded.
The defendant was transported to Headquarters, charged with possession
of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of marijuana with intent to
distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper possession of
prescription medication. The defendant was processed and released
on $15,000 bail set by Washington Township Municipal Judge Leanza,
pending a court appearance.

BURGLARY
The West Morris Board of Education reported that the "Wolf Den"
refreshment stand at the football field had been broken into. Patrol
Officer Wallenstein initiated the investigation.The investigation is
continuing.

BURGLARY
An East Mill Road resident reported that their residence was
burglarized.
Corporal Barnes initiated the investigation, with the assistance of
Sergeant Bratus. The Washington Township Detective Bureau, the
Morris County Sheriff's Department K-9 and CID Units were requested to
respond to the scene.
The
residence was processed for evidence, and the investigation was turned
over to Detective Marut. The resident reported that items worth a
significant value were taken from the residence.

A Squire Hill Road resident reported that their vehicle was vandalized.
Corporal Barnes observed the vehicle was spray painted with purple
paint. The investigation is continuing.

VANDALISM
A Ranney Road resident reported that several street signs were
vandalized. Sergeant Niemynski observed the stop signs at both
ends of Ranney road, a speed limit and a neighborhood watch sign were
spray painted with white and green paint. The investigation is
continuing.

PATROL ARREST
Patrol
Officer Rady, assisted by Sergeant Almer, arrested a 16 year old male
resident of Hackettstown
and a 19 year old male resident of Hackettstown, NJ, on a local
ordinance for operation of a motor vehicle on private property without
the owners consent. The motor
vehicles they were operating were impounded for improper registration.
Both individuals were transported to Headquarters and processed.
The juvenile was released to a family member and the 19 year old was
released in his own recognizance (ROR)

PATROL ARREST
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 26 year old male resident of Dover, NJ,
on an arrest warrant from Hanover Township, after the individual was
stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 46.
The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released
to the Hanover Township Police Department, after he was unable to post
the $500 bail on the warrant.

BURGLARY (Attempted)
A West Mill Road business owner reported that it appeared someone
attempted to force their way into the business prior to the owners
arrival. Corporal Carvino initiated the investigation and
determined there were numerous entry attempts, but the perpetrator was
unsuccessful.The Detective Bureau is conducting the follow up
investigation.

BURGLARY
The Drakestown United Methodist Church reported that the church had been
burglarized. Patrol Officer Wurtemberg, with the assistance of
Corporal McCarthy, initiated the investigation, The Washington Township
Detective Bureau responded and processed the scene.
The Detective Bureau is conducting the follow up investigation.

A Schooley's Mountain Road business owner reported that their business
had been burglarized the previous night. Patrol Officer Micco
initiated the investigation, Detective Marut, responded and processed
the scene.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Burns arrested a 44 year old male resident of Long
Valley, following a motor vehicle stop off Naughright Road, for
possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) and possession of
drug paraphernalia.The individual was transported to Headquarters,
processed and released in his own recognizance (ROR)

BURGLARY
A Schooley's Mountain Road resident reported that a window was opened
and the resident believed the house had been burglarized. Corporal
Barnes initiated the investigation, and requested the assistance of the
Washington Township Detective Bureau, the Morris County Prosecutor's
Office and the Morris County Sheriff's Department K-9 Unit.
Detective Marut is conducting the follow up investigation.
