VANDALISM
A resident of Buttzville, NJ reported that their pickup truck was vandalized while parked at the Hastings Square Commons.  Patrol Officer Wurtemberg initiated an investigation and determined the vehicle was parked for an hour and the driver’s side window of a 1999 pickup was broken.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Gilligan arrested a 21 year old male resident of Hackettstown on Route 46, on several contempt of court warrants, with bail totaling $2,148.  The individual was unable to post the bail and was turned over to the Mansfield Township Police for additional action.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 30 year old male resident of Queens, NY on $613 of contempt of court warrants on Flocktown Road.  The individual was unable to post the bail and was turned over to the NJ State Police for additional action.

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Hade assisted by Patrol Officer Leonardi arrested a male resident, age 19, of Great Meadows, NJ for driving under the influence of alcohol while underage and a male resident of Cedar Knolls, age 20 for Consumption of Alcohol while Underage, after the driver was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on East Mill Road.

The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “John’s Law” and the individuals were transported to police Headquarters for processing and a breathalyzer test of the driver.

The driver was additionally charged with failure to keep right, and was released to a responsible party.  The occupant of the vehicle was released in his own recognizance pending adjudication.

BURGLARY
A Turtleback Road resident reported that money was stolen from their residence.  Patrol Officer Burns responded to the scene and initiated an investigation. 

Investigation determined an amount of currency was taken from the residence.  Detective Marut responded to assist in the investigation and processed the scene.  The investigation is ongoing.

THEFT AND VANDALISM
The West Morris Board of Education reported that two school busses were vandalized and items were removed from the busses.  Patrol Officer Allen responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.

Investigation determined each bus had a fire extinguisher that was first discharged and then stolen.  The investigation is continuing.  The Police Department requests that any individual with information relating to the incident please contact Detective D Marut.

VANDALISM
A Yorkshire Drive resident reported their driveway and premises was vandalized during the previous night.  Patrol Officer Burns initiated an investigation and determined white paint was placed on the driveway.  Additionally toilet paper was strewn on the property.  Evidence was collected and the investigation is continuing.

SMOKE CONDITION
A Kings Highway business reported a fire on the premises.  The Washington Township Fire Department Patrol Officer Burns was called to investigate the incident.

Investigation determined that the fire may have been caused by the malfunction of a machine.  The Fire Department relieved a smoke condition on the premises.
