DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A
Beacon Hill Road resident reported someone throwing rocks at their
house. Patrol Officer Madden, assisted by Patrol Officer Allen,
responded to apprehend the individuals responsible and initiated an
investigation.
Patrol Officer Allen apprehended on of the individuals, a juvenile,
responsible. Patrol Officer Madden completed his investigation and
charged two juveniles with disorderly conduct at the conclusion of
the investigation.

FAMILY MATTER (Harassment)
A
resident reported that they were being harassed by an ex-spouse.
Patrol Officer Hade initiated an investigation and determined an act
of harassment did not occur. Patrol Officer Hade, assisted by
Sergeant Compton, remained at the scene until the party left the
residence. Both parties were advised to contact their attorneys,
and were provided with the appropriate referrals.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol Officers Madden, assisted by Sergeant Adams, investigated a
possible case of Domestic Violence after a resident dialed 911.
Patrol Officer Madden initiated an investigation and determined an
arrest was not required. Both
resident were advised of their rights, provided
with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic
Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary
Domestic Violence Restraining Order. Patrol Officer Madden
additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of
his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

PROPERTY DISPUTE
A
resident reported a dispute in progress North Four Bridges Road. Patrol Officer Hade and Sergeant Compton
responded to initiate an investigation. Patrol Officer Hade
determined that dispute centered over permission to be on a piece of
property. The individual who did not own the property was advised
to leave. Both parties were advised to contact their attorneys, and
were provided with the appropriate referrals.

THEFT OF
MOTOR
VEHICLE
A
Fairview Avenue resident reported their 1997 Green Ford
was stolen. Patrol Officer Bigham initiated the investigation, and
verified that the vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was entered
into the National Crime Information Computer (NCIC) System.
Patrol Officer Bigham investigation determined the location of
the vehicle, and the identity of the individual responsible.
Subsequently, Patrol Officer Bigham obtained an arrest warrant from
Municipal Judge Frank Leanza. Bail was set at $7,500.00.
The NJ State Police arrested the individual, a 21 year old male
resident of Great Meadows, NJ, that morning, and turned him over to
Patrol Officers Bigham and Wurtemberg. Continuing investigation
revealed over $1,250 in warrants. The individual was transported to
Headquarters, processed and incarcerated in the Morris County
Correctional
Facility in lieu of bail.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a male resident, age 18, of
Long
Valley for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of
Paraphernalia, on West Mill Road, after the individual was stopped
for speeding. The driver of the vehicle was also issued a summons
for speeding.
The
individual was transported to police Headquarters, processed and
released in his own recognizance pending adjudication.

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Burns arrested a 26 year old male resident of
Clifton, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on Newburg Road.
The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the
defendant was transported to police Headquarters for a breathalyzer
test and processing
The driver was additionally charged with fictitious plates, and
failure to keep right. The subject was released to a responsible
party.

resident reported that they were having difficulty with a civil
family order dealing with visitation times of their children.
Patrol Officer Gilligan, assisted the individuals in reaching a
resolution. The residents were advised to contact their attorneys,
and was provided with the appropriate referrals.

initiated an investigation interviewed the individuals involved and
determined an arrest was not required. The caller was
offered
an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence
Restraining Order and was provided with documents related to
victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act. Both individuals
were advised of their rights under the Domestic Violence Act.
Patrol Officer Brobst provided referrals and forwarded the results
of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Burns, assisted by Corporal Micco, arrested a male
resident, age 26, of Somerville, NJ for possession of a controlled
dangerous substance, on East Valleybrook Road, after the vehicle the
individual was riding was involved in a serious motor vehicle
accident. The driver of the vehicle was issued summonses for
reckless driving, failure to keep right and operation of a motor
vehicle without a seat belt.
The individual came to police Headquarters after being discharged
from the hospital and was processed and released in his own
recognizance pending an appearance in court.

BURGLARY
A North Four Bridges Road resident called to report a burglary in
progress. Sergeant Almer, Corporal Micco and Patrol Officer Bigham
responded to the scene to apprehend the individual and initiate an
investigation.
The officers apprehended two individuals and determined the
individuals had legal authority to be there. The reporting
individual was advised that the matter was civil in nature.
