PATROL ARREST (Hindering Apprehension)
Patrol Officer Allen arrested a 32 year old female resident of Hackettstown, NJ on Fairmont Road, after stopping the individual for a motor vehicle violation.  Patrol Officer Allen initiated an investigation and determined the individual presented an improper drivers license.

The defendant was charged with hindering apprehension and driving while driving privileges were revoked.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released pending adjudication

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 40 year old male resident of Edison, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by Peapack Gladstone Township Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $129.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail pending adjudication.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Bigham, assisted by
Corporal Micco, arrested a 22 year old male resident of Stewartsville, NJ for possession of marijuana under 50 grams after the individual was stopped for speeding.  The driver of the vehicle was also issued summonses for speeding, and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of drugs.

The defendant was transported to police Headquarters for a processing, and was released pending adjudication.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Gilligan arrested a 41 year old male resident of Long Valley for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and Driving under the Influence (DWI), on Schooley’s Mountain Road, after the individual was stopped for speeding.  Patrol Officer Gilligan was assisted by
Corporal Szymanski and Patrol Officer Madden.  The driver of the vehicle was also issued summonses for speeding, reckless driving, and operating a motor vehicle while in possession of drugs.

The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law”, and the defendant was transported to police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and processing.  The subject was released to a responsible party.

WEAPONS POSSESSION
Corporal Szymanski arrested a 16 year old juvenile for possession of a weapon, as part of an ongoing investigation.  The juvenile was transported to Headquarters, processed and released to a parent, after consultation with the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, pending adjudication.

THEFT
A resident came to Headquarters to report that their wallet was stolen while at a party.  Patrol Officer Burns responded to Headquarters to initiate an investigation.  Patrol Officer Burns determined the wallet, and its contents, was taken at a party earlier that morning.  The investigation is continuing.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol Officers Madden investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence.  Patrol Officer Madden initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was not required.  Both individuals involved were advised of their rights, and provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act.  Both were offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order.  Patrol Officer Madden additionally made appropriate referrals before both parties left the premises and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested an 18 year old male resident of Hackettstown for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on East Springtown Road, after the driver hit a tree with the car he was operating..  The vehicle inoperable as a result of the accident and removed from the scene.  The defendant was transported to
Hackettstown Hospital by the Long Valley First Aid Squad for treatment.  The driver was additionally charged with reckless driving.  The subject was released to a responsible party.

THEFT
A resident reported that their cell phone was stolen.  Patrol Officer Burns responded to initiate an investigation.

PATROL ARREST (Underage Possession of Alcohol)
Patrol Officer Gilligan arrested an 18 year old female resident of Long Valley for underage possession of alcohol.  The individual was processed and released in her own recognizance pending adjudication.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 21 year old male resident of
Washington Township on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Hackettstown Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $131.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail pending adjudication.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A resident of
Kings Highway reported that Christmas decorations on their front lawn were damaged.  Patrol Officer Falleni responded and initiated an investigation.  .  Patrol Officer Falleni determined several inflatable figurines were torn and cut open with a sharp object.  The investigation is continuing

FAMILY MATTER (Custody Dispute)

A resident reported that they were having difficulty with a civil family order dealing with visitation times of their children.  Patrol Officer Leonardi completed a report documenting the allegations.  The resident was advised to contact their attorney, and was provided with the appropriate referrals.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A resident of
Beacon Hill Road reported that a window of their residence was broken.  Patrol Officer Wallenstein responded and initiated an investigation.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol Officer Brobst investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after an assault was reported at a local business. 

Patrol Officer Brobst initiated an investigation.   Municipal Judge Leanza was contacted and the Judge determined there was no cause for an arrest to be effected.  The victim was advised of their rights, and provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order. 

The victim spoke with a member of the Crisis Response Team (CRT) Patrol Officer Brobst additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Hade arrested a 48 year old female resident of Newton, NJ for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of Paraphernalia, on East Mill Road, after she was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  The driver of the vehicle was also issued a summons for failing to stop at a stop sign.

The individual was transported to police Headquarters, processed and released in her own recognizance pending an appearance in court.

THEFT
A Beacon Hill Road resident reported the theft of parcels from their property.  Patrol Gilligan initiated an investigation.  The owner stated that the packages were worth $84.00. The investigation is continuing.

BURGLARY
A North Four Bridges Road Resident called to report a burglary.  Patrol Officer Hade, assisted by Sergeant Compton, responded to the scene to initiate an investigation.

Detective Marut responded to the scene to continue the investigation and process the scene for evidence.  The resident provided a partial list of items taken, and indicated that they would supply a complete list later.  The investigation is continuing.
