PATROL
ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 20 year old female resident of Bangor,
PA for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and possession of marijuana, and
her 31 year old female companion, also a resident of
Bangor,
PA for possession of marijuana on Route 46, after the 20 year old was
stopped for speeding. The vehicle was impounded in accordance with
“Johns Law” and both individuals were transported to police Headquarters
for processing.
The
driver was administered a breathalyzer test at Headquarters. The driver
was additionally charged with speeding, possession of paraphernalia.
The passenger was also charged with possession of paraphernalia. Both
subjects were released to a responsible party.

Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 21 year old male resident of
Long
Valley, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Morris County
Superior Court. The warrant was a no bail warrant, and the individual
was turned over to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office for
incarceration at the Morris County Correctional facility.

striking some mailboxes that were knocked down in a previous incident.

A Califon resident reported that they were the victim of an identity
theft. Patrol Officer Brobst initiated an investigation and determined
the validity of the resident’s complaint and facts. The resident was
advised as to the action available to them, was provided with additional

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Sergeant Compton arrested a 40 year old male resident of
Morristown, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Madison
Municipal Court. Bail on the warrant was set at $287. The individual
was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail pending
adjudication.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Hade arrested a female resident, age 20, of Hackettstown,
NJ and her 24 year old male companion from Piscataway, NJ, on Schooley’s
Mountain Road, for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession
of Paraphernalia, after the female driver was stopped for failure to
keep right. The driver of the vehicle was issued a summons for failure
to maintain a lane.
Both
individuals were transported to police Headquarters, processed and
released in his own recognizance pending an appearance in court. The
driver of the vehicle was additionally issued a summons for failure to
maintain a lane and possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS)
without a prescription.

THEFT
A Califon, NJ resident came to Headquarters to report that a package was
stolen from their property. Patrol Officer Madden initiated an
investigation. The victim stated that they received a partial shipment
and subsequently determined the missing portion was stolen.

A Glen
Ridge Drive resident called requesting assistance with a broken water
pipe in their residence. Patrol Officer Madden, assisted by Sergeant
First Class Brader, turned off the waster supply to the residence.
Patrol Officer Madden completed a report documenting the damage to the
residence.

Hackettstown, NJ on a warrant issued by the Warren County Superior

Detective Oranchak arrested a 34 year old male resident of

Valley, NJ on a domestic violence warrant issued by Morristown Municipal
Court. Bail was not allowed at the time of the arrest. The individual

processing.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Sergeant Almer investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after
an individual came to Headquarters..
Sergeant Almer initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was
not required. The individual was
advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s
rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and was advised to apply for a
Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order at Family Court in
Morristown, NJ, as the matter was not emergent.
Sergeant Almer additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the
results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the driver was
transported to police Headquarters for processing.
The
driver was administered a breathalyzer test at Headquarters. The driver
was additionally charged with failure to keep right, reckless driving,
and was released to a responsible party.

Washington Valley Road
resident reported money was stolen from their residence. Patrol Officer
Burns, assisted by Sergeant Adams, initiated an investigation.
Detective Oranchak, Patrol Officers Gilligan and Hade continued the
investigation, and at the completion of the investigation arrested a 20
year old male resident of Hackettstown for theft of moveable property.

FIRE
The Washington Township Museum, Fairview Avenue, Long Valley, reported a
smoke condition in the Museum. Long Valley Company, Schooley’s Mountain
Fire Protection Association and the Fairmont Fire Company responded to
the scene to initiate an investigation and extinguish any fire. Patrol
Officer Rady, assisted by Corporal Szymanski and Detective Sergeant
Pellegrino, responded to initiate an investigation and assist the fire
companies. Investigation determined the fire was caused as a result of
plumbing work earlier in the day |
