PATROL
ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Brobst arrested a 21 year old female resident of
Hackettstown, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on
West
Mill Road,
after the vehicle was stopped for speeding. The vehicle was impounded
in accordance with “Johns Law” and the defendant was transported to
police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and processing
The
driver was additionally charged with failure to observe a traffic
control device and speeding
Patrol
Officer Brobst determined a contempt of court warrant was issued for the
defendant by the Mansfield Municipal Court. The defendant was unable to
post bail, and was turned over to the Mansfield Police Department.

ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Bigham, assisted by Sergeant Adams, and Patrol Officer
Rady, arrested a 30 year old male resident of Hopatcong, NJ for Driving
While Intoxicated (DWI) on
Pleasant Grove Road.
The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the
defendant was transported to police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test
and processing. Patrol Officer Bigham determined there were active
warrants from numerous Municipal Courts, with bail totaling $5,000.
The
driver was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia,
careless driving, and failure to keep right. The subject was
transported to the Morris County Correctional facility in lieu of bail.

A
Hastings Square
resident reported that they were the victim of an identity theft.
Patrol Officer Brobst initiated an investigation and determined the
validity of the resident’s complaint and facts. The resident was
advised as to the action available to them. The investigation is
continuing.

Patrol
Officer Burns, assisted by Sergeant Adams, investigated a report of an
assault after a passerby reported an individual pulled a knife on a
friend.
Patrol
Officer Burns responded to the scene to initiate an investigation and
determined that a 19 year old resident of Succasunna threatened and
assaulted a resident of Columbia, NJ. Patrol Officer Burns advised the
victim of the procedure to sign a complaint against the offender.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol
Officers Madden investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after
an individual came to Headquarters..
Patrol
Officer Madden initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was
not required. The individual was
advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s
rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to
apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO) and to
speak with a Crisis Response Team (CRT) Member. The victim declined both
the TRO and the opportunity to speak with a CRT member.
Patrol
Officer Madden additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the
results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

BURGLARY
A Windswept Resident called to report someone attempted to enter the
residence. Patrol Officer Burns, assisted by Sergeant Adams, responded
to the scene initiate an investigation.
Detective Sergeant Pellegrino and Detective Corporal Micco responded to
the scene to continue the investigation and process the scene for
evidence. Detective Sergeant Pellegrino determined there was no attempt
to enter the residence, a structural problem was the cause of he
resident’s concern, The investigation is closed.

A
Peachtree Village resident called to report loud music. Sergeant Adams
responded to initiate an investigation. Sergeant Adams spoke with the
parties involved, advised the complainant of the procedure to sign a
complaint and additionally made appropriate referrals.

Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a male resident, age 21, of Long Valley
for possession of Paraphernalia, on
Camp
Washington Road,
after the vehicle the individual was riding in was stopped for a motor
vehicle violation. The individual was transported to police
Headquarters, processed and released in his own recognizance pending an
appearance in court.

MATTER (Custody Dispute)
An
individual reported that they were having difficulty with a civil family
order dealing with custody times of their children. Sergeant Compton
responded to the scene to initiate an investigation. Sergeant Compton
determined the matter was civil and nature and unenforceable by the
police department. The resident was advised the incident would be
documented, to contact their attorney, and was provided with the
appropriate referrals.

Patrol Officer Falleni arrested a 51 year old male resident of
Easton, PA on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Parsippany
Township Municipal Court. Bail on the warrant was set at $250. The
individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on
bail pending adjudication

VEHICLE
FIRE
A Frog Hollow Road
resident reported that their vehicle caught on fire. Patrol Officer
Leonardi responded to initiate an investigation. The Fairmont Fire
Company responded to extinguish the fire. Patrol Officer Leonardi
determined the fire started as a result of trash in the bed of the
pickup igniting. Patrol Officer Leonardi determined the cause of the
fire was accidental.
