ACCIDENT (Leaving the scene)
Patrol Officer Rady responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on
Flocktown Road. Patrol Officer Rady initiated an investigation and
determined the vehicle, a red Dodge Dakota struck and damaged a fence
and then left the scene of the accident. Patrol Officer Rady located
the vehicle and identified the individual that operated the vehicle, a
32 year old male resident of
Washington,
NJ. The vehicle was impounded and the operator was issued summonses for
leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and failure to
report an accident.

ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Bigham, assisted by Corporal Barnes, arrested a 55 year
old male resident of
Long
Valley,
NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on
West
Mill Road.
The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the
defendant was transported to police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test
and processing
The
driver was additionally charged with reckless driving, and failure to
keep right. The subject was released to a responsible party.

A resident of Great Meadows, NJ reported that their vehicle was damaged
while parked on
Flocktown Road.
Patrol Officer Brobst responded and initiated an investigation. .
Patrol Officer Brobst determined a 1997 Chevrolet pickup had plumbers
putty was placed into the passengers door lock. The investigation is
continuing

(Identity Theft)
A Hackettstown, NJ resident came to Headquarters to report a credit card
fraud. Corporal Carvino initiated an investigation. The resident
stated they received a notice from both a collection agency for Capital
One Services for collection on a line of credit they were unaware of,
and the Internal Revenue Service. The investigation is continuing.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
Sergeant Almer, assisted by Patrol Officer Madden, Detective
Sergeant Pellegrino, Detective Corporal Micco, the Morris County
Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit, the Mount Olive and Chester Township
Police departments initiated an investigation following a report of an
assault involving a weapon in the vicinity of the West Morris Central
High School.
The
investigation was turned over the detective bureau and is continuing.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (False Report to Police)
Sergeant Bratus, assisted by Corporal Pluciniak and Patrol Officer Hade
initiated an investigation after an individual reported a drunk driver.
Sergeant Bratus located the vehicle suspected of being operated by an
intoxicated operator. Sergeant Bratus determined the operator was not
intoxicated and just ended a relationship with the individual reporting
a drunk driver.
Corporal Pluciniak and Patrol Officer Hade obtained a written statement
from the complainant and determined the statements she made were false.
The complainant, a 39 year old female resident of Long Valley, NJ, was
charged on a CDR-1 with Providing a False Report to Law Enforcement.
The
victim was
advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s
rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to
apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO) The
individual declined the opportunity to obtain a TRO. Sergeant Bratus
additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his
investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Morris
County Superior Court, Family Division.

Patrol
Officer Falleni initiated an investigation at the West Morris Central
High School after receiving a report from the staff of an assault.
Patrol
Officer Falleni determined a student punched another student after a
verbal disagreement ensued. Patrol Officer Falleni charged the offender
with simple assault.

Sergeant Trevena was approached by an East Mill Road resident who stated
that their child is fifteen and was sold cigarettes by a West Mill Road
business. Sergeant Trevena initiated an investigation and determined
the validity of the complainant’s statements. The resident was advised
of the procedure to sign a criminal complaint.

resident reported a check was cashed by a company other that the company
the check was made out to. Sergeant Trevena initiated an investigation
and determined the validity of the resident’s complaint and facts. The

A Paula Drive resident reported that camera equipment was stolen from
their residence. Patrol Officer Burns initiated an investigation. The
resident reported a Canon F1-N camera, a Canon T90 camera and other

ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Hade arrested a 21 year old male resident of Great
Meadows, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Washington
Township Municipal Court. Bail on the warrant was set at $1,000. The
individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and incarcerated
in the Morris County Correctional Facility as he was unable to post
bail.

A resident of
Gentry
Drive,
NJ reported trash was placed on their front lawn. Patrol Officer Madden
responded and initiated an investigation. . Patrol Officer Madden
determined numerous beer cans and other litter were placed on the lawn.
The investigation is continuing.
