CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
An East Springtown Road resident reported that their mailbox was damaged.  Corporal Pluciniak initiated an investigation, and determined the door of the mailbox was removed, and located down the road.   The investigation is continuing.

ASSAULT
Patrol Officer Hade, assisted by Sergeant Bratus, responded to a Kim Lane address after an assault was reported.

Patrol Officer Hade initiated an investigation and determined that an employee of a Long Valley business was assaulted by his employer.  The victim requested medical assistance, but refused medical transportation after the arrival of the Long Valley First Aid Squad.  Patrol Officer Hade advised the victim of the procedure to sign a complaint against the offender.

BURGLARY
A Shadow Hill Road property owner called to report a house was possibly broken into.  Patrol Officer Allen responded to the scene to initiate an investigation.

Patrol Officer Allen determined the font door handle was broken and there was no entry made to the residence.    The investigation is continuing.  The Police Department is requesting that anyone who sees any unusual activity near any of the houses, unoccupied or under construction, please notify the department.

LOST PROPERTY
A Squire Hill Road
resident came to Headquarters to report that a cell phone was lost.  Patrol Officer Hade completed a report and determined a Verizon Cell phone model LG VX6000 was lost.

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Burns arrested a 48 year old male resident of Flanders, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on
East Mill Road.  The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the defendant was transported to police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and processing

The driver was additionally charged with careless driving, and failure to keep right.  The subject was released to a responsible party.

LOST PROPERTY
A
West Valley Brook Road resident came to Headquarters to report that a cell phone was lost.  Lieutenant Monahan completed a report and determined a Motorola Cell phone model V120E was lost.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Corporal Carvino investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after a resident called Headquarters. 

Corporal Carvino initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was not required.  Both residents were advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order.  Both individuals declined the opportunity.  Corporal Carvino additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

A
West Valley Brook Road resident called to report a window was broken.  Corporal Carvino responded to the scene to initiate an investigation.

Corporal Carvino determined there was no entry to the residence.  The resident indicated that nothing appeared to have been taken.  The investigation is continuing.

BURGLARY
A Setting Sun Drive homeowner called to report their house was broken into.  Patrol Officer Hade, assisted by Detective Sergeant Pellegrino, responded to the scene to initiate an investigation.

Patrol Officer Hade determined entry to the residence was made through a rear basement door.  The homeowner indicated that an electric cook top was taken from the premises.  The investigation is continuing.  The Police Department is requesting that anyone who sees any unusual activity near any of the houses, unoccupied or under construction, please notify the department immediately.

PROPERTY DAMAGE
A Bartley Road
resident reported that a fence on their property was damaged.  Corporal Carvino responded and initiated an investigation.  Corporal Carvino determined about 30 feet of fence was damaged by a motor vehicle that left the roadway.

FRAUD (Identity Theft)
A
Yorkshire Drive resident reported that they were the victim of an identity theft.  Corporal Pluciniak initiated an investigation and determined the validity of the resident’s complaint and facts.  The resident was advised as to the action available to them.

CIVIL MATTER
A Flocktown Road
resident reported came to Headquarters to report a property dispute.  Patrol Officer Allen responded to initiate an investigation.  Patrol Officer Allen determined the dispute was over felled trees on or near the property lines.  The resident and the adjacent property owner went to the scene, but were unable to locate the markers designating the property boundary.  Patrol Officer Allen advised the parties the matter was strictly civil in nature and additionally made appropriate referrals.

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 25 year old female resident of Hackettstown, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on Route 46 westbound.  The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the defendant was transported to police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and processing

The driver was additionally charged with reckless driving, and failure to keep right.  The subject was released to a responsible party.

THEFT
A Long Valley, NJ resident came to Headquarters to report that a cell phone was stolen.  Corporal Barnes initiated an investigation.  The resident stated the phone, a Verizon back flip phone was removed from their coat while working at a local business.  The investigation is continuing.

2:25 AM

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Rady, assisted by Corporal Barnes arrested a 23 year old male resident of
Califon, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on West Valley Brook Road, after the individual was involved in a motor vehicle crash.  Sergeant Adams and Traffic Bureau Sergeant Trevena responded to the crash to assist in the investigation.  The Fairmount Fire Department, MICU 57 and the NJ State Police Northstar Helicopter responded and assisted at the screen.  The individual was med-evacuated to Morristown Memorial Hospital by Northstar.  Corporal Barnes responded to the hospital, arrested the driver and obtained a blood sample from the defendant

The driver was additionally charged with careless driving, and failure to wear a seat belt.  The subject was admitted to the hospital.
