THEFT
The Long Valley Junior Lacrosse Club reported one of the lacrosse goals,
located at the Califon Road Fields was stolen. Lieutenant Bailey initiated
an investigation. The representative stated the goal is values at $350.00,
and was noticed missing around April 17.
The investigation is continuing

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol
Officer Brobst, assisted by Sergeant Compton investigated a possible case of
Domestic Violence after a resident called Headquarters.
Patrol
Officer Brobst initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was not
required. Both
residents were advised of their rights,
provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic
Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic
Violence Restraining Order. Both residents declined the opportunity to
apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order. Patrol Officer
Brobst additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of
his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

A Port Murray, NJ resident reported that cash was stolen from her purse at
West Morris Central High School. Patrol Officer Falleni initiated an
investigation. The resident stated the cash was removed from the purse
during a gym class. The investigation is continuing.

responded and initiated an investigation. . Patrol Officer Gilligan
determined spark plug wires of a 1994 Toyota were deliberately cut.

A Long Valley resident reported someone attempted to obtain a credit card in
their name. Patrol Officer Falleni initiated an investigation. The
resident stated they received a rejection notice from a mail order catalog
company. The investigation is continuing.

A Route 46 business owner reported that the business was the victim of a
shoplifting. Patrol Officer Hade initiated an investigation. The owner
indicated the total value of the merchandise taken was $40.00. The

A Hackettstown, NJ resident called Headquarters to report a credit account
fraud. Patrol Officer Oranchak initiated an investigation. The resident
stated they received a notice a collection agency for Aspire Credit Services
for collection on a line of credit they were unaware of. The investigation
is continuing.

PATROL ARREST
(DWI)
Patrol Officer Burns arrested a 47 year old male resident of Califon, NJ for
Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on
West Mill Road.
The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the defendant
was transported to Police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and
processing
The driver was additionally charged with speeding, and failure to
keep right. The subject was released to a responsible party.
