DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 17year old male resident of East Hanover, NJ for possession of alcohol and possession of Paraphernalia, on Schooley’s Mountain Road, after the vehicle the individual was riding in was stopped for inoperative tail lamps. 

The individual was transported to Police Headquarters, processed and released to a parent pending adjudication.  The individual of additionally received summonses for failing to maintain lamps, bald tires, and having passengers in a vehicle in violation of conditional license requirements.

DISPUTE
A Peachtree Village resident called on 911 to report a problem with a neighbor.  Sergeant Almer responded to initiate an investigation.  Sergeant Almer determined the disagreement was verbal.  The neighbors were offered the opportunity to provide written statements, both declined.  Sergeant Almer advised the neighbors as to the procedure to sign a complaint with the Township Court.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol Officer Allen investigated a report of harassment after an individual Called Police Headquarters.

Patrol Officer Allen initiated an investigation and determined the circumstance was covered by the Domestic Violence Act.  Patrol Officer Allen determined an arrest was not required.  The individual advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO).  The individual declined the opportunity to obtain a TRO.  Patrol Officer Allen additionally made appropriate referrals, advised the victim as to the procedure to sign a complaint with the Township Court, and obtain a TRO at a later time.  Patrol Officer Allen forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and the Morris County Superior Court, Family Division.

HARASSMENT
An East Mill Road resident called to report that they have been receiving harassing phone calls.  Patrol Officer Allen responded to initiate an investigation.  Patrol Officer Allen completed a report and advised the complainant what options were available, and the procedures involved, to end the harassment.

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Oranchak, assisted by Sergeant Compton, arrested a 23 year old male resident of Trappe, MD for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on Schooley’s
Mountain Road.  The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the defendant was transported to Police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and processing

The driver was additionally charged with careless driving, and failure to keep right.  The subject was released to a responsible party.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 30 year old male resident of Port Murray, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Washington Township Municipal Court.  No bail was set on the warrant.  The individual was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending adjudication.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Detective Sergeant Pellegrino arrested a 21 year old male resident of Long Valley, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Bedminster Township Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $316.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and turned over to the custody of the Bedminster Police Department as he was unable to post bail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Corporal Szymanski investigated a possible violation of a Domestic Violence Final Restraining Order (FRO) after a resident called the Communications Center. 

Corporal Szymanski initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was required, as a violation of the order did occur.  Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza was contacted, and the Judge found probable cause to issue an arrest warrant.  Corporal Szymanski located the defendant who agreed to come to Police Headquarters where they were arrested. 

Superior Court Judge Ahto was contacted and Judge Langlious set bail at $2,500, released in own recognizance (ROR). The defendant was released pending adjudication.  Corporal Szymanski additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office
