PATROL ARREST
(DWI)
Patrol Officer Burns, assisted by Corporal Barnes, arrested a 49 year old
male resident of Port Murray, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on East
Mill Road. The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the
defendant was transported to Police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and
processing
The driver was additionally charged with failure to keep right.
The subject was released to a responsible party.

PATROL ARREST
(Violation of a FRO)
Patrol Officer Burns, assisted by Sergeant Adams, charged a 42 year old male
resident of Long Valley for violation of a Final Restraining Order (FRO)
issued by Judge Maenza. Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza
was contacted and determined there was probable cause for the arrest.
Morris County Superior Court Judge
Rand
subsequently issued an arrest warrant with bail set at $20,000 no 10%
option.
The defendant was processed, and was
transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility, as he could not post
bail, pending adjudication.

CIVIL MATTER
An Irvington, NJ resident came to Headquarters to report a theft complaint.
Patrol Officer Oranchak initiated an investigation. Patrol Officer Oranchak
determined the matter involved non-payment of an invoice for items delivered
to a
Long
Valley business. Patrol Officer Oranchak advised complainant the matter was
civil in nature. Officer Oranchak made appropriate referrals.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Sergeant
Bratus investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after an individual
came to Headquarters..
Sergeant
Bratus initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was not
required. The individual was
advised of their rights, provided with documents related to
victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity
to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order. The victim
indicated they wanted to obtain TRO, and Sergeant Bratus assisted the victim
in obtaining a temporary restraining order. Washington Township Municipal
Court Judge Leanza was contacted and issued a TRO’s against the offender.
The Linden Police Department assisted and served the TRO on the offender.
Sergeant
Bratus additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of
his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Corporal
Carvino, assisted by Sergeant Almer, and Patrol Officer Hade investigated a
possible case of Domestic Violence after a resident called Headquarters.
Corporal
Carvino initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was not
required. Both
residents were advised of their rights,
provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic
Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic
Violence Restraining Order. Both residents indicated they would like to
obtain a TRO, and in accordance with Morris County Superior Court
Guidelines, were advised to proceed to the Morris County Court House to seek
assistance. Corporal Carvino additionally made appropriate referrals and
forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s
Office.

PATROL ARREST
(Warrant)
Patrol Officer Leonardi arrested a 28 year old male resident of
Hackettstown,
NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Hazlet Township and Long
Branch Municipal Courts, after stopping the individual for a motor vehicle
violation and subsequently charging the operator with operating a motor
vehicle while privileges revoked. Bail on the warrant was set at
$2,155.00. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters, processed
and turned over to the custody of the Hazlet Police Department as he was
unable to post bail.

A Bartley Road resident reported a vehicle drove
across and then became stuck in their newly seeded front lawn. Patrol
Officer Rady responded and initiated an investigation. . Patrol Officer
Rady determined a car or small truck drove east across the front lawn
leaving ruts in the newly seeded and topsoiled lawn.. The investigation is
continuing. Anyone who observed a vehicle on a front lawn that afternoon on
Bartley
Road should contact

resident came to Headquarters to report that a cell phone was lost in the
vicinity of Stewart Court. The individual reported the phone is a Verizon
LG cell phone. Patrol Officer Bigham completed a report.. |

Patrol
Officer Hade investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after an
individual called Headquarters.
Patrol
Officer Hade responded and initiated an investigation and determined an
arrest was not required. The individual
advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s rights
under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a

The victim declined the assistance of a member of the Crisis
Response Team (CRT). The victim indicated they wanted to obtain TRO.
Patrol Officer Hade assisted the victim in obtaining a temporary restraining
order. Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza issued a TRO’s
against the offender, and the Randolph Police Department assisted and served
the TRO on the offender. Patrol Officer Hade additionally made appropriate
referrals and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris
County Prosecutor’s Office and the Morris County Superior Court, Family
Division.

DUMPING
A Long Hill Plaza business owner called to report an individual dumped boxes
and other items in their dumpster. Patrol Officer Falleni responded to
initiate an investigation. Patrol Officer Falleni determined the items
belonged to an individual who resided in California once. Patrol Officer
Falleni advised the property owner as to the procedure to sign a complaint
with the Township Court. The investigation is continuing

MISCHIEF
An Old Turnpike resident reported that they heard noises outside their
residence, and discovered their mailbox was damaged, and there were several
people in the area that ran away. Patrol Officer Hade initiated an
investigation, and determined mailboxes at fifteen residences were damaged.
Patrol Officer Hade was unable to locate the individuals observed. Anyone
who can provide information related to this report should contact
