CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A resident of
Whitehouse, NJ reported that their vehicle was damaged on Long Valley Boulevard.  Patrol Officer Burns responded and initiated an investigation.  .  Patrol Officer Burns determined the mirrors of a 1999 GMC Van were deliberately removed from the vehicle.

ASSAULT
Patrol Officer Rady, responded to Headquarters to initiated an investigation after an individual at Headquarters reported an assault.

Patrol Officer Rady determined the victim was struck in the face earlier in the day on Long Valley Boulevard.  Patrol Officer Rady advised the victim of the procedure to sign a complaint against the offender.

LOST PROPERTY
A Califon, NJ resident came to Headquarters to report that they lost a Verizon LG Picture cell phone.  Corporal Barnes completed a report.

2:04 AM

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (Assault)
Patrol Officer Madden, assisted by Corporal Carvino and Patrol Officer Falleni, investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after a resident called the Communications Center. 

Patrol Officer Madden initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was required.  The victim was advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO).  The victim indicated they wanted to obtain a TRO.

Patrol Officers arrested the defendant for Assault.  A Crisis Response Team (CRT) member responded to Headquarters to meet with the victim.

 The defendant was transported to Police Headquarters for a assignment of bail and processing.  Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza issued the TRO, and set bail on the Assault Warrant at $2,500 with a ROR option.    Patrol Officer Madden additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

TRESPASS
A West Valley Brook Road resident called to report an individual parked a vehicle on their property.  Patrol Officer Allen responded to the scene to initiate an investigation.

The vehicle was not on the property upon the arrival of Patrol Officer Falleni.  Patrol Officer Falleni additionally made appropriate referrals, advised the victim of the procedure to sign a complaint against the offender.

DRUG ARREST
Sergeant Bratus arrested a 42 year old male resident of Flanders, NJ, for possession of cocaine, possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of Paraphernalia, on Route 46.  The individual was transported to Police Headquarters and processed.   Municipal Court Judge Leanza issued a warrant, and set bail at $25,000 with a 10% option.  The individual was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Morris County Correctional Facility.

THEFT
A Schooley’s
Mountain Road resident reported that a significant amount of money was stolen from their residence.  Patrol Officer Gilligan initiated an investigation.  The resident stated the money was removed from a secure location.  Detective Sergeant Pellegrino responded to process the scene.  The investigation is continuing.

PROPERTY DAMAGE
A resident of
Wherli Road, NJ reported a basketball backboard was damaged by a vehicle making a delivery.  Corporal Barnes responded, initiated an investigation and completed a report.

DISPUTE
A Hickory Lane resident reported they became involved in a verbal dispute with a neighbor.  Lieutenant Bailey spoke with both individuals involved in the incident, completed a report, and advised the complainant as to the procedure to sign a complaint with the Township Court.

DISPUTE
A
Beacon Hill Road resident reported an individual used abusive language in addressing them after a disagreement over maneuvering in a parking lot.  Lieutenant Bailey was at the location at the time, and initiated an investigation.  Lieutenant Bailey determined the disagreement was verbal.  Lieutenant Bailey spoke with both individuals involved in the incident and advised the complainant as to the procedure to sign a complaint with the Township Court.

MISSING PERSON
A Flanders, NJ resident reported their juvenile son was missing from Rock Spring Park..  Sergeant Almer responded to initiate an investigation. 

All patrol vehicles and surrounding jurisdictions were notified and provided with a description of the individual.  The juvenile was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) system, and the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office was notified. 

The juvenile was located and re-united with his parent.  The juvenile stated they became lost and tried to walk home.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Allen arrested a 50 year old male resident of Great Meadows, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Independence Township Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $242.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail.

DISPUTE
A Peachtree Village resident reported an individual was harassing them.  Patrol Officer Gilligan, assisted by Corporal Pluciniak, determined the disagreement was verbal.  Patrol Officer Gilligan spoke with both individuals involved in the incident and completed a report.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol Officer Hade investigated a possible case of harassment after a resident came to Headquarters. 

Patrol Officer Hade initiated an investigation and determined the incident fell under the Domestic Violence Act, and an arrest was not required.  The complainant was advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to meet with a member of the Crisis Response Team (CRT), and apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO).  The complaint ant declined meeting with the CRT member and the opportunity to apply for a TRO. Patrol Officer Hade additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
