CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A resident of
Ascot Drive reported that their pool was damaged the preceding evening/night.  Patrol Officer Madden responded, initiated an investigation and determined items were thrown into the pool and around the backyard.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A Fawnridge Drive
resident reported that their vehicle was damaged.  Sergeant Bratus responded and initiated an investigation and determined the transmission line on a 2000 Jeep was deliberately damaged.

FRAUD
A Long Valley resident came to Headquarters to report a debit card fraud.  Corporal Pluciniak initiated an investigation.  The resident stated during an examination of their financial records two debit card charges, totaling $134, were made to their account.  The complaintant did not authorize the charges.  The investigation is continuing.

TRESPASS
While on Patrol Corporal Carvino observed an individual taking water from the reservoir on
Reservoir Road and placing it in a water tank trailer. Corporal Carvino initiated an investigation and determined the individual did not have permission to remove water from the reservoir. 

The Hackettstown Municipal Utilities Authority (HMUA) was contacted as part of the investigation and subsequently indicated they would sign a criminal complaint with the Washington Township Municipal Court.

THEFT
A Youngman Drive resident came to Headquarters to report that a purse was stolen from their vehicle.  The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway. Patrol Officer Madden initiated an investigation and completed a report. The purse and contents are valued at $200. The investigation is continuing.

THEFT
A
North Washington Valley Road resident came to Headquarters to report that a wallet was stolen from their vehicle.  The vehicle was unlocked and parked in the driveway. Sergeant Adams initiated an investigation and completed a report. The investigation is continuing.

LOST PROPERTY
A Bartley Road
resident came to Headquarters to report that they lost a Verizon LG-4400 cell phone.  Patrol Officer Bigham completed a report.

HARASSMENT
A Peachtree Village resident called to report that they have been harassed.  Patrol Officer Brobst responded to initiate an investigation.  Patrol Officer Brobst determined the facts of the incident, and completed his report.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 41 year old male resident of Philadelphia, PA on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Franklin Township Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $1,310.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and turned over to the custody of the Franklin Township Police Department as he was unable to post bail.  There were four additional warrant issued for the arrest of the individual totaling $655.  Franklin Township Police Department advised.

FAMILY MATTER (Custody Dispute)

An individual reported that they were having difficulty with a civil family order dealing with custody times of their children.  Patrol Officer Brobst initiated an investigation.  Patrol Officer Brobst determined the matter was civil and nature and unenforceable by the police department.  The resident was advised the incident would be documented, to contact their attorney, and was provided with the appropriate referrals.

resident came to Headquarters to report that they lost a Motorola LG4400 cell phone.  Patrol Officer Bigham completed a report.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Corporal Pluciniak arrested a 37 year old male resident of
Trenton, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Trenton Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $624, after the individual was stopped for speeding.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and turned over to the custody of the New Jersey State Police Department as he was unable to post bail.

FRAUD (Identity Theft)
A Pleasant Grove Road NJ resident reported receiving a call from an individual who attempted during the call to obtain personal information. Corporal Pluciniak responded to initiate an investigation.  The resident stated they received a call from an alleged representative of “Preferred Benefits Club”.  The caller stated that the resident was to receive a free Dell computer, but needed some information first. The resident was suspicious, checked some facts the caller provided, declined to provide the caller with useful information and notified the Police.  The investigation is continuing. If any other resident has received a similar call, please contact fraud@wtpdmorris.org . All information received will remain confidential.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Allen arrested a 22 year old male resident of
Whitehouse Station, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Bridgewater Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $750.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and turned over to the custody of the Bridgewater Police Department as he was unable to post bail.

VEHICLE FIRE
Police Communications received a report of a tractor fire on West Mill Road.  Patrol Officer Madden responded to initiate an investigation.  The Long Valley Fire Company, the Schooley’s Mountain Fire Protection Association and the responded to extinguish the fire.  Patrol Officer Madden reported the fire involved a tractor and a hay field.  Fire damage was valued at $40,000 for the tractor and approximately $1,000 in hay.  Patrol Officer Madden determined the cause of the fire was accidental.

HARASSMENT
A Parker Road resident called to report that they have been receiving annoying phone calls.  Patrol Officer Falleni responded to initiate an investigation.  Patrol Officer Falleni determined when the phone calls occurred, and advised the complainant what options were available, and the procedures involved, to end the harassment.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A contractor performing renovation work on a Schooley’s Mountain Road building reported (an) individual(s) engaged in numerous acts of criminal mischief inside the building.  Patrol Officer Madden responded and initiated an investigation and determined graffiti was written on interior walls, fire extinguishers were discharged, and expansion foam was sprayed in numerous locations.

Detective Corporal Micco responded to assist in the investigation.  Anyone who can provide information related to this report should contact tips@wtpdmorris.org.  All information will be held confidential. The investigation is continuing.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Falleni arrested a 23 year old male resident of Eason, PA on a contempt of court warrants issued by the Roxbury Township, Parsippany Township and Hackettstown Municipal Courts.  Total bail on the warrant was set at $754.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed, and released on bail pending adjudication.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol Officer Burns investigated a possible case of assault after a resident came to Headquarters. 

Patrol Officer Burns initiated an investigation and determined the incident fell under the Domestic Violence Act, and an arrest was not required.  The complainant was advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to meet with a member of the Crisis Response Team (CRT), and apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO).  The complainant declined meeting with the CRT member and the opportunity to apply for a TRO. Patrol Officer Burns additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
