FRAUD (Identity Theft)
A Califon Road resident reported that they were the victim of an identity theft.  Patrol Officer Gilligan initiated an investigation and determined the validity of the resident’s complaint and facts.  The resident was advised as to the action available to them.

DISPUTE
A caller reported a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Fairmount Road and Highland Avenue.  Upon arriving at the scene Corporal Carvino discovered a dispute rather than an accident.  Corporal Carvino completed a report and advised both involved individuals of the procedure for signing a motor vehicle complaints in Municipal Court.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Allen arrested a male resident, age 21, of Randolph, NJ for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of Paraphernalia, on Pickle Road.

The individual was transported to Police Headquarters, processed and released in his own recognizance pending an appearance in court.

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Corporal Pluciniak, assisted by Sergeant Almer arrested a 19 year old female resident of
Pottersville, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on Turtleback Road, after the individual was involved in a motor vehicle crash.  Corporal Pluciniak was assisted by Sergeant Almer, Patrol Officers Madden, Falleni, , Sergeant Trevena, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office, Both the driver and a passenger were injured in the crash and both were transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital by a Med Evac helicopter with the assistance of the Long Valley First Aid Squad.  Patrol Officer Madden responded to the hospital, arrested the driver and obtained a blood sample from the defendant.

The driver was additionally charged with reckless driving and failure to keep right.  The passenger was admitted to the hospital.  The investigation is continuing with additional charges pending.

PATROL ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Madden arrested a 32 year old male resident of Hackettstown, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on
East Avenue.  The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the defendant was transported to Police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and processing.

The driver was additionally charged with failure to maintain a lane.  The subject was released to a responsible party.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (Assault)
Patrol Officer Allen, assisted by Corporal McCarthy, investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after a resident called the Communications Center. 

Patrol Officer Allen initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was not required.  The victim was advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO). 

The victim indicated they wanted to obtain a TRO against the offender. Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza was contacted and subsequently issued a TRO against the offender.

Patrol Officer Allen additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office

Detective Marut arrested a 23 year old male resident of
West Islip, NY on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Washington Township Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $455.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility as he was unable to post bail.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 23 year old male resident of
Long Valley, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the New Brunswick Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $62.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail pending adjudication.

THEFT
A Naughright Road business owner reported that a business sign was removed from the property.  Patrol Officer Brobst initiated an investigation.  The owner stated that the value of the sign was about $500.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Detective Marut arrested a 23 year old male resident of
Middletown, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Washington Township Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $455.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and transported to the Morris County Correctional Center as he was unable to post bail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Corporal McCarthy, assisted by Patrol Officers Wurtemberg, and Detective Sergeant Pellegrino, investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after a resident came to Headquarters. 

Corporal McCarthy initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was required.  The complainant was advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO) and meet with a member of the Crisis Response Team (CRT).  The victim indicated they wanted to obtain a TRO against the offender.

Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza was contacted and subsequently issued a TRO against the offender.  The defendant was arrested for Harassment.  Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza released the individual in their own recognizance (ROR).  The defendant served with the TRO, processed and turned over the Warren County Sheriff’s Department as an active warrant for the defendant existed, and they were unable to post bail.  Corporal McCarthy additionally made appropriate referrals to both parties and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

Patrol Officer Oranchak determined an additional Naughright Road business owner had a sign stolen from the property.  Officer Oranchak initiated an investigation and determined the value of the sign was not immediately available.

The investigation is continuing.

Patrol Officer Burns arrested a 47 year old male resident of
Morristown, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Morris Plains Municipal Court after the individual was involved in a motor vehicle accident.  Bail on the warrant was set at $514.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail pending adjudication.

A resident of
Naughright Road reported that the posts holding up a sign on the front lawn were damaged the preceding evening/night.  Patrol Officer Brobst responded, initiated an investigation and determined the damage to the sign was approximately $800.

A Parkview Road
resident came to Headquarters to report a theft.  Patrol Officer Brobst initiated an investigation, and determined the matter was not a theft, but civil in nature and involved a loan..  Patrol Officer Brobst made appropriate referrals, and advised the complainant to contact their attorney.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
A resident of
Turtleback Road reported that their pool was damaged the preceding evening/night.  Patrol Officer Oranchak responded, initiated an investigation and determined items were thrown into the pool and around the backyard. Damage to the pool and objects was estimated to be approximately $720.  Following the investigation, Patrol Officer Oranchak charged a 17 year old male resident of Long Valley with Criminal Mischief.

DISPUTE
A Peachtree Road resident called to report a problem with a neighbor.  Patrol Officer Wurtemberg responded, initiated an investigation, and determined the disagreement involved pushing and yelling.  Patrol Officer Wurtemberg completed a report and advised both involved individuals of the procedure for signing a criminal complaint in Municipal Court.

PATROL ARREST (Warrant)
Patrol Officer Brobst arrested a 49 year old male resident of
Long Valley, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the North Hunterdon Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $105.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail pending adjudication.

A resident of
Peachtree Road reported that their vehicle was damaged at Peachtree Village.  Patrol Officer Oranchak responded, initiated an investigation and determined an individual dumped muddy water over two of their vehicles.

HARASSMENT
A Naughright Road resident called to report that they were harassed.  Patrol Officer Oranchak responded, initiated an investigation and determined an ex-employee pulled into the complainant’s driveway, yelled obscenities and left when the complainant stated they would call the police.  .  Patrol Officer Oranchak advised the complainant what options were available, and the procedures involved to sign a criminal complaint with the Municipal Court.

A resident of
Janet Drive reported obscenities were written on her driveway and the property had ketchup, eggs and toilet paper thrown on the property and residence.  Patrol Officer Brobst responded initiated an investigation and determined the validity of the report.

Patrol Officer Brobst located additional vandalism across the street from the complainant and completed a report.

resident called to report a dog was running loose in their yard.  Patrol Officer Falleni responded to the scene to initiate an investigation.

Patrol Officer Falleni advised the complainant of the procedure to file a complaint with the Municipal Court.

resident reported that their mailbox was damaged.  Patrol Officer Allen initiated an investigation, and determined the post for the mailbox was damaged by a vehicle registered to a Long Valley resident.  The investigation is continuing.

resident reported that their mailbox was damaged.  Patrol Officer Allen initiated an investigation and determined the damage was caused by a large rock  The investigation is continuing.

Patrol Officer Brobst arrested a 21 year old male resident of
Bridgewater, NJ on a violation of a Final Restraining Order (FRO) warrant issued by the Washington Township Municipal Court.  Bail on the warrant was set at $100,000 with a 10% option.  The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility as he was unable to post bail.

A Knob Hill Road
resident reported that an electrical device on the property was damaged.  Patrol Officer Brobst initiated an investigation, and determined an electrical junction box was damaged as a result of a large tire being rolled down Knob Hill Road.  Patrol Officer Brobst determined the mailbox at a neighboring property appeared to have been damaged in the same incident.  The investigation is continuing.

resident reported that plantings and the siding of their garage were damaged.  Patrol Officer Oranchak initiated an investigation, and the damage was as a result of a 200 pound tire having been rolled down Knob Hill Road.  The investigation is continuing.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol Officer Burns investigated a possible violation of a Final Restraining Order (FRO) after a resident called Headquarters.

Patrol Officer Burns initiated an investigation and determined a violation of the FRO occurred.  Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza was contacted and determined probable cause existed for the issuance of a warrant.  Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza issued a no bail arrest warrant for the offender.

Patrol Officer Burns additionally made appropriate referrals to both parties and forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
