CRIMINAL
MISCHIEF
A resident of
Windswept Way
reported that their vehicle was damaged. Patrol Officer Falleni
responded, initiated an investigation and determined the windshield of a
2001 Dodge pickup was shattered. Additionally, there were dents in the
bodywork of the vehicle. The dents appeared to have been caused by a
rock. The investigation is continuing.

MISSING
PERSON
A Pickle Road resident reported their juvenile son was
missing. Patrol Officer Gilligan, assisted by Corporal Pluciniak
responded to initiate an investigation.
All patrol vehicles and surrounding jurisdictions were notified
and provided with a description of the individual. The juvenile was
entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) system, and
the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office was notified.
The juvenile was located and re-united with his parent. The
juvenile stated they became lost and tried to walk home.

Detective Marut arrested a 20 year old male resident of
Long
Valley, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by Washington Township
Municipal Court. The individual was transported to Headquarters,
processed and transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility as
he was unable to post bail.

ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Brobst assisted by Corporal Szymanski and Patrol Officer
Wurtemberg arrested a 21 year old male resident of Long Valley, NJ for
Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on
West Mill Road,
after the individual was involved in a motor vehicle crash. The
individual was not injured in the crash.
The driver was additionally charged with reckless driving,
failure to keep right, and was released to a responsible party.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol
Officer Oranchak investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after
a resident called 911.
Patrol
Officer Oranchak initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was
not required. Both
parties were advised of their rights, provided
with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence
Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic
Violence Restraining Order. Both parties declined the opportunity to
apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order. Patrol
Officer Oranchak additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded
the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s
Office.

Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 25 year old male resident of Washington
(Warren),
NJ on a no bail contempt of court warrant issued by the State of
Pennsylvania, following a National Crime Information Inquiry (NCIC)
hit. The individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and
transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending an
extradition hearing on his transfer to
Pennsylvania.

Patrol Officer Bigham arrested a 35 year old male resident of
Newark, NJ
on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Jersey City Municipal
Court. Bail on the warrant was set at $250. The individual was
transported to Headquarters, processed and released on bail pending
adjudication.

PATROL
ARREST (DWI)
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested two male residents of Hawthorn, NJ, one
20 years old, and the other 28 years old, after stopping the vehicle
they were in for a motor vehicle violation. After initiating an
investigation, Patrol Officer Bigham arrested the 28 year old on a
contempt of court warrant issued by the Clifton City Municipal Court.
The bail on the warrant was $635.
Patrol Officer Bigham arrested the 20 year old for operating a
motor vehicle wile under the influence of marijuana, on
Naughright
Road, a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) charge. The vehicle was
impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and both defendants were
transported to Police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test and
processing.
The driver was additionally charged with failure to keep right.
The 28 year old posted bail and was released. The 20 year old subject
was released to a responsible party.

DOMESTIC
VIOLENCE (Violation of a FRO)
Patrol Officer Hade, assisted by Corporal Pluciniak, charged a 24 year
old male resident of Washington, NJ for violation of a Final Restraining
Order (FRO). The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Washington
Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza were contacted and Judge Leanza
determined there was probable cause for the arrest. Morris County
Superior Court subsequently issued an arrest warrant with bail set at
$2,500 with a 10% option. The defendant was processed, and was
transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility, as he could not
post bail, pending adjudication.

on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Newark Municipal Court.
Bail on the warrant was set at $30. The individual was transported to
Headquarters, processed and released on bail pending adjudication.

Hackettstown, NJ on a contempt of court warrant issued by the Washington
Township Municipal Court. Bail on the warrant was set at $123. The
individual was transported to Headquarters, processed and released on
bail pending adjudication.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Patrol
Officer Hade investigated a possible case of harassment after a resident
came to Headquarters.
Patrol
Officer Hade initiated an investigation and determined the incident fell
under the Domestic Violence Act, and an arrest was not required. The
complainant was
advised of their rights, provided with documents related to
victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an
opportunity to meet with a member of the Crisis Response Team (CRT), and
apply for a Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO).
The victim indicated they wanted to obtain a TRO, and Patrol
Officer Hade assisted the victim in obtaining one.
Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza issued the TRO.
Corporal Pluciniak served the TRO on the offender. Patrol Officer Hade
additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his
investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

A Peachtree Village resident reported that an extension cord was stolen
from the basement of their building. Patrol Officer Allen initiated an
investigation and completed a report.

A Bristol Terrace resident came to Headquarters to report that they lost
an Audio Vox 8600 “flip phone” cell phone. Patrol Officer Burns
