A Route 46 business owner reported that the front
glass door to the business was broken by a patron. Corporal Pluciniak
responded and spoke with the involved parties. The business owner and
the patron agreed that the patron would pay for the door repair.
Corporal Pluciniak documented the incident and completed a report.

A
Nottingham Square resident reported that a pink flamingo
wind chime and a carved wooden bear were removed from the front porch.
Patrol Officer Brobst initiated an investigation and determined the
value of the items were $195. Anyone who can provide information

The investigation is continuing.

Patrol
Officer Falleni investigated a dispute after a call to Headquarters.
Patrol
Officer Falleni initiated an investigation and determined an the
incident fell under the Domestic Violence Act, and an arrest was not
required. The complainant was
advised of their rights, provided with documents related to
victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence Act and apply for a
Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO). The complainant
declined the opportunity to apply for a TRO. Patrol Officer Falleni
additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded the results of his
investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

A Gentry Drive resident reported someone set off a large fireworks
display outside the front door of their residence. Corporal Pluciniak
initiated an investigation and during the investigation determined their
mailbox and support post were missing. The mailbox and post were
located and returned. The investigation is continuing.

A Steeple Chase Way
resident called to report they were awakened by people swimming in their
swimming pool. Patrol Officer Gilligan, responded to the scene to
apprehend the individuals.
There were no trespassers on the property upon the arrival of
Patrol Officer Gilligan, who interviewed the victim. The victims
provided a description and possible identity of the individuals who were
swimming in the pool. The investigation is continuing. |

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (Assault)
Patrol
Officers Gilligan, assisted by Corporal Pluciniak and Patrol Officer
Hade, investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after a resident
called the Communications Center.
Patrol
Officer Gilligan initiated an investigation and determined an arrest was
required. The victim was advised of their rights, provided
with documents related to victim’s rights under the Domestic Violence
Act, and offered an opportunity to apply for a Temporary Domestic
Violence Restraining Order (TRO). The victim declined the opportunity
to apply for a TRO.
Patrol
Officers Gilligan
arrested the defendant for Assault. The defendant was transported to
Police Headquarters for assignment of bail and processing. Washington
Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza set bail at $1,000 with a ROR
option and a provision the defendant not contact the victim. The
defendant was released.
The
victim became unruly at Headquarters and was arrested for Disorderly
Conduct and Resisting Arrest. The victim was released to a responsible
party as they were intoxicated.

Officer Gilligan additionally made appropriate referrals and forwarded
the results of his investigation to the Morris County Prosecutor’s
Office

A Long Valley resident reported words and pictures painted on Beacon
Hill Road. A stop sign on Beacon Hill Road was also damaged. Patrol
Officer Madden and Sergeant Compton responded and initiated an
investigation. Due to the nature of the pictures and words, possibly of
a biased nature, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office was contacted,
and the results of the initial investigation were forwarded to them.

AT LARGE
A Long Valley resident reported two dogs running loose on . Patrol
Officer Rady responded to the scene to initiate an investigation.
Patrol Officer Rady the animal attacked a groundhog, and
additionally determined the owner of the animal. Patrol Officer Rady
issued a complaint for having a dog run loose, and forwarded documents
related to his investigation to the Health Department and the Animal
Control Officer.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (Assault)
Patrol
Officer Oranchak investigated a possible case of Domestic Violence after
a resident came to Police Headquarters.
Patrol
Officer Oranchak determined an arrest was required. The victim
was advised of their rights, provided with documents related to victim’s
rights under the Domestic Violence Act, and offered an opportunity to
meet with a member of the Crisis Response Team (CRT), and apply for a
Temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order (TRO). Patrol Officer
Oranchak assisted the victim in obtaining a temporary restraining
order. Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza issued a TRO’s
against the offender. The Offender was arrested for Simple Assault.
Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza set bail at $1,000 with
a 10% option. The defendant was served with the TRO, transported to
Police Headquarters and processed. The defendant was released ROR.
Patrol Officer Oranchak additionally made appropriate referrals and
forwarded the results of his investigation to the Morris County
Prosecutor’s Office

AT LARGE
An Old Turnpike Road resident called to report a dog was running loose
on their back deck. Sergeant Compton responded to the scene to initiate
an investigation.
Sergeant Compton advised the complainant of the procedure for
signing a complaint for having a dog run loose, and forwarded documents
related to his investigation to the Health Department and the Animal
Control Officer.

Officer Burns investigated a possible violation of a Final Restraining
Order (FRO) after a resident came to Headquarters.
Patrol
Officer Burns initiated an investigation and determined a violation of
the FRO occurred. Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza was
contacted and determined probable cause existed for the issuance of a
warrant. Washington Township Municipal Court Judge Leanza issued a $500
ROR arrest warrant for the offender.
Patrol
Officer Burns additionally made appropriate referrals to both parties
and forwarded the results of his investigation, and a copy of the
warrant for service to the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.

ARREST (DWI)
Sergeant Bratus arrested a 26 year old female resident of Hackettstown
for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) on Pleasant Grove Road, after
observing the vehicle traveling on Drakestown Road shooting sparks from
the right side rims. Sergeant Bratus determined the operator blew out
the right side tires and continued to operate the vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded in accordance with “Johns Law” and the
defendant was transported to Police Headquarters for a breathalyzer test
and processing
The driver was additionally charged with reckless driving, and
operating an uninsured motor vehicle. The subject was released to a
responsible party.

reported that a man operating a green and white 1955 Chevrolet stopped
in his driveway, urinated on his front lawn, and then drove across the

ARREST (Drug Possession)
Patrol Officer Hade, assisted by Corporal Pluciniak, arrested an 18 year
old male resident of Long Valley, NJ for possession of under 50 grams of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, a 16 year old female
resident of Chester, NJ for Disorderly Conduct and Hindering
Apprehension, a 16 year old female resident of Long Valley, NJ for
Disorderly Conduct, and a 17 year old male resident of Long Valley for
possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug
paraphernalia, after investigating a report of a female screaming at
Peachtree Village.
The juveniles were released to their parents, and the 18 year old
was released pending adjudication.

A Gentry Drive resident reported that an individual attempted to forge a
check for their checking account. Patrol Officer Madden initiated an
investigation and determined an individual forged a check in the amount
of $9,850, and cashed it. The bank determined the check was a forgery
and credited the complainant’s account, making the complainant aware of
the situation.
The investigation is continuing.

DRUG ARREST
Patrol Officer Madden arrested a male resident, age 22, of Hackettstown,
NJ for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of
Paraphernalia, on Coleman Road, after a Mobile Data Terminal (MDT) check
indicated the owner of the vehicle was wanted. The defendant was
arrested on a $160 motor vehicle warrant issued by the Mt Olive
Municipal Court. Subsequently, the defendant was discovered to be in
possession of marijuana, a marijuana pipe and rolling papers. The
defendant was transported to Police Headquarters, issued a complaint
summons for possession of marijuana under 50 grams and possession of
Paraphernalia, processed and released in his own recognizance after
posting the warrant bail, pending an appearance in court.
