An
early afternoon accident on May 11, 2004 resulted in
minor damage to a 1993 Ford Explorer and the guide rail
fence for Rock Spring Park on East Springtown Road.
Patrol Officer Allen investigated the crash and reported
a 1993 Ford Explorer, operated by a Long Valley
resident, was traveling East on East Springtown Road
when the vehicle ran off the roadway fro unknown
reasons.
The vehicle brushed a
utility pole passed through the guide rail and came to
rest on the edge of the football field. Long

Aid Squad responded and transported a passenger to
Hackettstown Community Hospital where he was treated for
head injuries.
Patrol Officer Allen
issued a summons for careless driving. A court
appearance is mandatory for the operator.
